Pusha T – Numbers on the Boards

Serious Moonlighters

Pusha T is one of the doper acts signed to Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music label. Half of the great coke rap duo Clipse, he continues the trend of that subject matter in his solo stuff. His 2011 mixtape Fear of God, his first project after signing to G.O.O.D. Music, is without question one of the best rap projects of recent years. “Numbers on the Boards” is the lead single from his upcoming (and long-awaited) solo debut album, My Name is my Name. Featuring stellar minimalist production from Don Cannon (easily the most irritating mixtape DJ, but can make a beat) and Kanye West (I don’t need to elaborate on him), and killer bars from Pusha, the song is pretty perfect. The video features Pusha rapping on at least one Paris rooftop, and various other ill-lit locations, and features guest appearances from Kanye and Chief Keef.
